Despite entering their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
